With so many people currently using this amazing dual purpose bot; I figured it would be a perfect time to put together a small how to setup guide. My good friend MagikTheGamer wrote this up for all of us!

Welcome to the Scorpbot

This is one of many bots that are available for Streamers. This bot remind me a lot, functionality wise, of Anhkbot. But that bot was only designed for Twitch Streamers. Where Scorpbot is unique, it works for both Twitch and Beam – which is perfect for streamers who stream to both platforms at the same time.
You can download Scorpbot here - just click on the Download Now button and you are on your way.

Once downloaded, you can extract the zip file. I recommend extracting the zip, to somewhere on your hard drive where you keep your all of your stream things.
Next go into the Folder where you extracted the zip file and double click on Scorpbot.exe This will launch the application. You will be notified of any updates and you can say yes or later.
Before moving on any further, you will need to create a separate Twitch/Beam account for your Bot. Once you have this created be logged into the account. Make sure that you set this account as a Moderator in you main channel.
Come back to the Scorpbot and click on the Menu Item called Login then Select Bot Login
A new Window will appear and Select either Twitch or Beam from the Tab and enter in the following Details

For Beam

Beam Bot – The name of the Bot account (please be logged into this account)
Click on the Generate Oauth-token button, this will open up a Windows Browser asking to yo give permission for Scorpbot to connect to your Bot Account. Copy the Code given to you once you accept
Oauth-Token – Paste the code from the previous step here
Channel – The name of the channel you will be streaming to, your main stream account
Once these have been entered, you will then be able to fill out the next part for the Streamer
Name – Your main account name goes here. At this point log off the bot account and log into your main account
Click on the Generate Oauth-token button, this will open up a Windows Browser asking you to give permission for Scorpbot to connect to your Bot Account. Copy the Code given to you once you accept
Oauth-Token – Paste the code from the previous step here
Click on Connect

If all connects correctly, you will see in the Chat Panel, that all relevant connection are up and running

The other important thing to set up is allowing your Moderators or Trusted users to perform tasks in your bot – like run giveaways etc etc. To do this in Scorpbot, click on the Setting Tab and Scroll down to the bottom of the Window. On the Right hand side you will see Editors. Here you can add the Account Names of who you want to act as an Editor of your Bot.

If you would like any additional information about the bot you can find a useful Configuration Guide here

Or make your way to the Forums here

Any issues/bugs to @Scorpio_SW

Until next time…

XOXO,
Kitty
